I've been in this industry for a long time, 20 years in trucking, and it'll be 21 years in March. The last six years I’ve been recruiting, but before that, I spent 15 years as a Fleet Manager and Dispatcher. That means I know exactly what it's like on the other end of that phone or radio. I've dealt with the delays, the unexpected issues, and the stress. I don’t like to try to search for hidden meaning behind things that are said, and I know drivers don't either. I appreciate a direct conversation.
For me, the best part of this job is the sense of accomplishment when you’ve found a driver a job that truly fits their family needs. That’s the goal, every time. And in the last six years alone, I’ve placed almost 700 drivers in solid jobs. Keeping good drivers on the road is what I do (and hey, it feeds my shopping addiction, lol).
